Giovambattista Venditti, former Italian player and now team manager of Italrugby originally from Avezzano, expressed enthusiasm at returning in front of a familiar audience. “The Eagle it has always been at the center of rugby which counts for its history, defining it as one of the cradles of the sport,” he declared. “We are always happy to come here. They always welcome us well and this morning’s enthusiasm is fundamental in pushing the boys towards a difficult tour, paying homage to this land of rugby.”
Venditti underlined the challenge that awaits the team, made up of a young but experienced group, who will face a summer tour for the first time with all its cultural and culinary difficulties. “The Six Nations he saw us very well and we consider it a completion of last season’s journey,” he added, speaking of a consolidated group that includes promising young players.
