With all the championships in which the teams of the ASD Volleyball Civitavecchia team were involved concluded some time ago, it is holiday time for the sporting environment, with some of the athletes engaged in fun beach volleyball.
The rossoblu club was able to face a difficult season on various fronts with various teams involved at various levels, from Serie C to the lowest categories of the third division.
The team involved in the women’s Serie C championship, after a decent start, experienced obvious difficulties in the central phase of the tournament and few would have bet on survival: with a reaction of pride the girls led by coach Giovanni Guidozzi succeeded in the feat to save themselves on the last day and this interseason the management is trying to improve a group that will certainly have to do better for next season. In this sense, we will try to give continuity to the technical staff with Giovanni Guidozzi probably confirmed on the bench also next season.
Etruria Volley, a men’s team created with the collaboration of Tuscania Volley and involved in the Serie C championship, did well by finishing in ninth place: Claudio Quaglia’s boys are now ready to play a season as protagonists, seeking the playoff objective .
Overall, the path of the other categories in which the Civitavecchia club was involved was also satisfactory thanks also to a great management effort to plan the sporting and organizational commitment for the next season too: «We will compete in the D series with a mixed team (experienced and very young) and all the territorial youth categories (under 18/16/14/13) as well as the men’s youth teams under 19/17 and this year we will also be in the under 15 with a large group under age – declared the president Marina Pergolesi – Obviously we will also organize territorial divisions where many girls and boys will play in championships suited to their peculiarities.”
For the president and managers, a real break never exists.
