The Ukrainian Kyrylo Tsarenko, a Ukrainian neo-professional from Corratec Vini Fantini, won the Grand Prix Santa Rita by a margin, the first round of the Due Giorni Marchigiana which took place in Castelfidardo in the Marche region. Tsarenko was the protagonist of a strong action, so much so that at the finish line he preceded by over 1′ Giovanni De Carlo of Zalf Euromobil Désirée Fior and the Eritrean Nahom Zerai Arayaof the Q36.5 Continental.

The course, characterized by 8 challenging laps with a short but significant climb, saw Tsarenko stand out with an exceptional performance. Halfway through the penultimate lap, the Ukrainian launched a decisive attack on a slightly uphill section, managing to distance himself from his rivals. Despite the group’s repeated attempts to reabsorb the breakaway, Tsarenko managed to hold on and increase his advantage over the peloton, crossing the finish line a minute behind the second place and demonstrating great determination and strength.

“I am very happy with this victory”, declares Kyrylo Tsarenko. “It was one of my goals for the season. From the very first kilometers of the race, I noticed that I was feeling very good, and I think it showed. I knew that it would be difficult to obtain a result like that without anticipating, so I decided to attack at around 40 kilometers from the finish. It was easy; 40 kilometers are a long time to manage, but despite this, I gave everything, I tried to manage myself well and manage to achieve this beautiful result.”
