The words of Claudio Forte

“Are you coming home? This is the question I have heard asked most often recently by many friends and Piacenza fans. A question that underlines and implies many beautiful things; and it is the genuine spontaneity of the question, which is normally addressed to someone who is at home, that makes me perceive a feeling of affection for the person even before esteem for the professional.

And normally it also implies the reciprocity of feeling, and it is useless to underline or look for a definition for the word “home”, it says it all by itself. The first sensation when President Boccuni called was to feel honored and flattered, regardless of how the interview would go. And in the end I can only reiterate that I am for the trust and esteem that Piacenza Rugby has placed in me for this important role.

I am collecting an important legacy, the result of an excellent job carried out by Federico Grangetto which allowed the team to win all the matches and earn a well-deserved promotion. Compliments that I must share with all of his staff, staff that I know well, friends and passionate and hard-working rugby men, with whom I hope I will also have the opportunity to collaborate. I can’t wait to start working because next season will certainly be very important and demanding for everyone, I’m excited and eager to take on this new and important challenge!”

Daniele Boccuni, President of Piacenza Rugby

“From the first meetings with Claudio, all his enthusiasm and great desire to get involved and take on this new challenge emerged. Despite his young age, Claudio has gained incredible experience. I believe that for our Club he can represent an example of continuity and growth. He was among the protagonists of Piacenza Rugby’s previous promotion to Serie A.

He left Piacenza as a player and now returns to lead the team from the bench and finds himself coaching players he was on the pitch with; on the bench he has Sandro Pagani by his side, who trained him and Fabio Berzieri, with whom he shared the pitch in the past. I see his return as a natural choice, considering his deep connection with Piacenza Rugby and his dedication to the game.”

“We are enthusiastic and ready to embark on this new path together, full of ambitious projects and objectives and we are sure that his experience and skills will constitute added value for our team. I therefore take this opportunity to welcome Claudio on behalf of the entire Club and to wish him and all of us Good Work!”
