Pedro Acosta suffered his first major race crash at the French GP since joining MotoGP. However, he continues to demonstrate that he is capable of fighting for top positions, having already achieved two podiums in just a few races and impressing with his rapid ability to adapt.

Former driver Ruben Xaus followed the young talent’s first steps with interest. In the Dura La Vita podcast, the current TV commentator praised Acosta:

Acosta feels like he’s been in MotoGP for 20 years. I applaud him every time I see him on television. Here, in every race, things change, so he has evolved with little pressure because there are more than a few riders who are adapting. You see that everything is changing, and he sees himself as so capable, and people have elevated him so much that he has grown. At Le Mans, it’s very easy to fall, and he fell, and that’s it.

After finishing ninth in Qatar, Acosta took third place in Portugal and second in Austin, where he fought for the win for part of the race. Then, his results dropped entering Europe, with a tenth place in Jerez and a retirement in France. Currently, the Spaniard is sixth in the championship.
