Troy Bayliss’ Ducati Desmosedici GP3 up for auction

A spring full of auctions in 2024, from the famous MV Agusta Serie Oro to the Ducati 750 Super Sport Paul Smart, up to the 3 million sales achieved by the famous auction house Bonhams in a single weekend.

The protagonist is once again a Ducati, the Desmosedici GP3 MotoGP, protagonist of the 2003 MotoGP season in the official Borgo Panigale team with riders Loris Capirossi and Troy Bayliss. The example up for auction is the same one that was the protagonist of the first part of the season that year with the famous driver Troy Bayliss.

This is the ‘GP3TB1’, a code applied with a plate on the frame which testifies to the competitive history of this example.

According to the seller, the famous Sheffield manufacturer, specialized in rare and collectible vehicles, it was possible to find the exact use of the motorbike in the first half of the season thanks to a change carried out on the chassis during the championship.

As for performance, the company declares that the motorbike is in perfect working orderand that its V4 engine is capable of delivering 200 HP at 16,000 rpm, for a maximum speed of 320 km/h and a weight of 145 kg.
