Ivan Zazzaroni’s comment on Roma-Juventus: “De Rossi and Allegri played openly, both with courage, limiting their tactics”
Speaking in the columns of Corriere dello Sport, Ivan Zazzaroni commented on the draw between Roma and Juventus at the Olimpico as follows:
“Raise your hand if you imagined that Roma and Juve could put together a match like this. So fun, exciting, alive, even messy. But sincere until the last moment. A game in waves, a whole occasion. I don’t see any hands raised De Rossi and Allegri played openly, both with courage, limiting their tactics, and the show benefited from this. There was essentially a change in identity which the Olimpico showed that they appreciated, despite the point taken, only one. Insufficient. You see very few similar matches in Serie A, unfortunately: I give you a slap, you give me a couple back and then get ready to receive three or four of them. Chiesa is the interpreter I liked the most: his best performance of the season; almost always unmarkable, he reminded me of his father Enrico who bewitched Ancelotti in Parma to the point of making him reject Roberto Baggio (it’s a compliment, I hope Federico appreciates it)”
“Immediately behind Chiesa, Mile Svilar, two holy hands and also surprising. From the Premier the pace and finally the level of movements without the ball which multiplied the spaces and therefore the development of the plays. Roma have forgotten their tiredness (even if after the interval they had to give up Dybala), Juve didn’t give a damn about the lowered center of gravity and the point of balance and gave a different image of themselves. Having run out of praise, I must however add that Roma and Juve have nothing to do with Inter: they are imperfect, incomplete and above all in the middle, in midfield, they give a lot to the Italian champions, individual quality and vision are good for Juve, less so for Roma from Atalanta”.
