Twentieth heart-wrenching championship success for the yellow-white-blues from Piacenza who won in five partials on the field of a combative Tecnimetal, determined to defeat the league leaders, and maintained a one-point lead over San Damaso who won on a tiebreak in Alseno. Camurri’s entry into the current race was decisive for San Giorgio.

In the first set, Piadena takes a few points ahead, Tonini and her teammates score at 15-15, but it is the hosts who have the sprint to close (23-25). The Violaazzurro’s enthusiasm continues in the second set, however San Giorgio manages to sprint in the final, winning 23-25.
The third set was quite balanced in the first exchanges, after which Tecnimetal managed to close, 25-21. Tecnimetal took the lead at 8-3 in the fourth set, however Pallavolo San Giorgio reacted and managed to recover the gap and reach 21-25. In the short set the Piacenza team changes sides at 3-8 and extends up to 8-13, Piadena tries a last match canceling some match balls but Sangio manages to close, 11-15, after a real battle.
Coach Capra’s team will need a three-point victory in the next round against BeOne San Martino to finish top of the table and have two chances to move up to B1 in the promotion playoffs. As is known, the opponents will be either Riccione or Pesaro.
