Max always at the top

If rival drivers and teams have been having ups and downs since the start of the season, the same cannot be said Max Verstappen, whose presence in first position in every session that counts has now become a habit. But the pole obtained in the Miami Sprint Shootout it wasn’t so obvious, so much so that the Dutch champion himself admitted that he didn’t feel satisfied with his lap and that he was surprised by his first position.

Marko’s analysis

As usual, Helmut Marko commented on the progress of the qualifying session for the Sprint on Austrian television ORF: “We heard Max ranting on the radio. We had problems getting the soft tires into the right window of work”.

The 80-year-old Red Bull consultant complimented Verstappen: “He did better than everyone else and the detachment is quite significant on this circuit. With Perez in third place, we can say we are satisfied. Overall we have a good starting position. If the startup goes well, Max can check the race from first position.”
