Once the Jerez tests were over, Di Giannantonio highlighted the great progress made with the GP23.
After setting the best time in the Jerez tests, Di Giannantonio spoke about the feeling with his Ducati. As reported by Crash.net, the Italian driver declared that he had made some steps forward in braking problems and with entering the curve. Ahead of the Le Mans event, ‘Diggia’ said he would be able to fight for the top positionsprovided that these improvements are also confirmed in France.
“It always seems to be a surprise to people that I’m fast” declared Di Giannantonio.
“I believe that we are strong. The team is fantastic and we did an incredible job. Ducati also gave us some updates. So it was important to try many things and we were fast.”
“I always try to improve my riding style but also, with the bike, we lacked a bit of stopping, especially in the last part of braking, because the GP23 pushes the front a lot”.

“So it is difficult to take the right trajectory, preparing the exit from the corner well. And we are improved in that area. So it’s really good”.
“We can go to Le Mans with many positives. If we can confirm all the good things about this test, I think we can be among the best.”
The VR46 driver also spoke about the results of these first four races and his start to the season.
“We had some problems, but they weren’t related to the set-up.”
“Honestly, FrI think we were fast. I’m happy with my start to the season. Even in the Jerez weekend, we were quite fast. Only in the race did I lose the first 2-3 laps because I was struggling a bit with the rear tire.”
