The date of April 25, 2024 will long be remembered by supporters and leaders of the Cintellese Sports Group 1987 of Cintello di Teglio Veneto for receiving the prestigious award on Thursday San Marco Award during an official ceremony held at Palazzo Ducale, in Venice.
The recognition, in its sixth edition, was wanted by the mayor of the Metropolitan City of Venice, Luigi Brugnaro, to celebrate the excellence of the territory. The group’s candidacy took place on the initiative of Oscar Cicuto, Mayor of Teglio Veneto, who wanted to highlight the company as an excellence in the municipal area.
Present at the award ceremony were President Gianluca Geremia and the pillar of the team’s coaches, Mattia Rui. “The San Marco Award – underlined the leaders of the association – represents not only a recognition of the sporting and social value of the Cintellese 1987 Sports Group, but also an opportunity to celebrate the contribution that this reality offers to the local community, encouraging sport among young people and promoting values of commitment and integrity”. The partnership born 37 years ago thanks to a group of pedal sport enthusiasts and among them Gianluca Geremia’s father, Dante, represents a very important point of reference for social and pedal sport in the Veneto and in particular for the province from Venice. Gianluca Geremia was a former professional runner with a brilliant past.
