Women’s volleyball, Conegliano wins the championship. Scandicci beaten in game 4

The women’s volleyball championship hasn’t moved from Conegliano. Imoco can celebrate their sixth consecutive title, the 7th since 2016, thanks to the 3-1 in game 4 at the Pala Wanny in Florence against Savino del Bene Scandicci. It was an error by Ekaterina Antropova in service that sealed the 3-1 in the match and in the series. After game 3 which had broken the balance with Imoco’s 3-1 victory, the Panthers got the match in Florence back on track after losing the first set and then won with authority: 23-25, 25-17, 25 -17, 25-21 the final score. Scandicci won game 1 3-2 at PalaVerde, Conegliano won game 2 (3-2) and game 3 (3-1). Imoco completes the 4th consecutive grand slam in the Italian trophies.

Best player of the match and of the series was the Swedish opposite Isabelle Haak, 29 points. 18 points for the American spiker Plummer. In the Tuscan field Antropova ensures the classic turnover (22), Herbots stops at 10.
