Lawrence Stroll’s move that shakes the market

Lawrence Stroll has reportedly entered into negotiations to sell a minority stake in Aston Martin.

Lawrence Stroll has big plans for Aston Martin. That’s why his latest “move” causes a stir. Since starting his project in 2018, the Canadian entrepreneur has aimed to become Formula 1 world champion with his team.

Last year got off to a rocky start for Aston Martin, thanks also to the push of Fernando Alonsowho believed blindly in the team – so much so that he wanted to reconfirm his trust until 2026.

Lawrence Stroll, however, is aiming higher and is determined to take advantage of Aston Martin’s good position in F1. According to what was reported by Bloomberg, a well-known economic magazine, the billionaire would have started some “preliminary negotiations” to sell a minority stake in his team. In order to close the deal, Stroll would be willing to go “up to 25%.”

With this move, the Canadian entrepreneur could recover liquidity, which will then help him to invest better in Aston Martin. It is not the first time that Lance Stroll’s father has resorted to this expedient. Last November, he sold a minority stake in Arctos Partners, from which he made $1.3 billion.

Lawrence Stroll targets Adrian Newey (again)?

Lawrence Stroll’s ambitions are very high, and this indiscretion comes at a very delicate moment in the Formula 1 market. With Adrian Newey close to leaving Red Bull, there is great competition to be able to sign him. It is no coincidence that Ferrari has recently announced a new commercial partnership with HP, which will allow the company to invest in other projects (and perhaps hire some staff).

Stroll and Newey have already metbut the aerodynamics wizard reportedly rejected his generous offer. “It doesn’t surprise me because I don’t think he needs the money”he commented on introducing Peter Windsor on that occasion. “I don’t think money is a motivation to push Adrian.”
