Yamaha in expansion
We are still far from the halfway point of the season and the summer break, but the MotoGP market continues to boilbetween rumors about possible changes to the drivers’ jerseys and the equally relevant negotiations regarding the possible ones transfers from one company to another of some customer teams. The only certainty seems to concern the Yamaha and the fact that the Japanese giant, in one way or another, will return to having four bikes, bringing one of the customer teams currently under contract with Ducati to its side. But which?
The VR46 is excluded, given that Uccio Salucci’s team is close to renewing with Ducati which should also bring with it the possibility of fielding an official bike from the current season starting from 2025. They therefore remain Pramac and Gresini. In Germany the media have long suggested that the team owned by Paolo Campinoti was the one destined to abandon the Borgo Panigale ‘platoon’. In Spain, however, the newspaper AS he imagined a very different development, underlining – also through the words of team manager Gino Borsoi – how there would be no reason for Pramac to leave Ducati at the moment.
Pramac does not fold and relaunches
The Spanish site instead opened at a sensational market coup: Pramac would remain with Ducati using one official bike, rather than two (the other, as mentioned, would go to Rossi’s team). The Italian team would also receive the youngster into their squad Spanish talent Fermín Aldeguer, signed by Ducati and whose future – understood as a team in which to race – is still uncertain. But the icing on the cake could be represented by Marc Marquezwho clearly stated that his goal for 2025 is to have an official motorbike available.
With Gresini headed to Yamaha Marc Marquez could take the bike vacated by Jorge Martin to Pramacwho at this point would become the favorite to join Bagnaia in the official team in 2025. In this way Ducati would avoid losing both Martinator that the eight-time world champion, preventing a direct strengthening of the competing manufacturers, KTM above all. In this scenario the sacrificed person would be Enea Bastianini, for which, however, the doors of Aprilia could open. In fact, the Noale company would willingly pair him alongside Maverick Viñales, with Aleix Espargarò in the role of test rider.
