The exhausting work of the Napoli president continues, Aurelio De Laurentiis, regarding off-field issues of the Neapolitan club. Testifying to De Laurentiis’ commitment on multiple issues is the meeting held in Rome yesterday, in which the mayor of Naples, Gaetano Manfredi, was also present.
The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Cohesion Policies, Raffale Fittoand the CEO of Invitalia, Bernardo Mattarella. The meeting also discussed the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, on which the final decision would be made from a future perspective.

The Diego Armando Maradona Stadium has long been the subject of verbal clashes between Aurelio De Laurentiis and the Municipality of Naples. After a long back and forth between the parties, De Laurentiis decided to aim for the construction of a new stadium. During the meeting held yesterday in Rome, the future of Maradona was discussed again, in which the president of Napoli will also be involved.
According to what was gathered by Marco Giordano For Spazionapoli.it, from the meeting held yesterday, it was decided to implement a plan for the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium. This plan aims to present projects and ideas that will serve to make Maradona one of the stadiums for Euro2032. The main news therefore concerns the presence of the Maradona Stadium for the 2032 European championships. In addition to the city of Naples, Rome, Milan, Turin will also host Euro2032, and Florence is hypothesized as the fifth city.
A commission will be created for this plan announced for the Maradona Stadium. The following will be part of this commission: the Municipality of Naples as owner of the plant; the Government as manager of the event, i.e. Euro2032; and the Naples as a possible private investor. Napoli could benefit from conventional aspects, therefore dedicated to the pitch, but this will be specifically discussed in the next meetings. This news therefore goes to relaunch the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, which in recent months seemed to have been “snubbed”.
The facility owned by the Municipality of Naples and which currently hosts Napoli will therefore be present in the 2032 European championships, which will be played in Italy And Türkiye.
