“One day we hope to see an arrival at our Sanctuary of Oropa”. With this hope the mayor Claudio Corradino and his deputy and councilor for Sport Giacomo Moscarola concluded after the third stage of the Giro d’Italia 2021, which from Biella had brought the Rosa a Canale caravan that has been established over the years between Biella, the Biella area and the organization of the race headed by Rcs Sport, combined with the important anniversary 25 years after Marco Pantani’s feat , have meant that on Sunday 5 May the second stage of the Giro d’Italia will once again land at high altitude in Oropa.

Saturday 27 April
10.00-18.00: those waiting for the Giro d’Italia. Inauguration of the selfie area at the Informagiovani showcase with Marco Pantani’s original bicycle on display (via Italia/Portici Palazzo Oropa). Social initiative with the presence of the Marco Pantani Onlus Foundation. Inauguration of “A Guinness World Record bicycle” by the artist Ivano Munarin (Oropa/Prato delle Oche).
3.00pm – 7.00pm: spinning in the square with the instructor Massimo Gazzetto. It will be possible to discover or have all citizens try this sport for free with the Spin-Bikes made available by APD Pietro Micca.
Sunday 28 April
8.00-12.30: Beginners race (Italian Cycling Federation) – 2nd City of Biella Trophy. Organized by Velo Club Piatto 2015. Followed by: awards ceremony.
10.00-18.00: Those waiting for the Giro d’Italia (via Italia/Portici Palazzo Oropa).
