Yuasa Battery-Siena sold out

Sunday 21 April, at 6pm, Grottazzolina hosts Game 1 of the final that qualifies for the Super League

GROTTAZZOLINA – Feverish hours, very hot weather and a lot of anticipation in Grottazzolina for the last act of an exciting championship. Here we are, the final duel is upon us. On Sunday 21 April, at 6pm, the PalaGrotta hosts game 1 of the playoff final between Yuasa Battery and Emma Villas Siena. The return match is scheduled for Thursday 25 April, at 7pm, in Siena; the possible “beautiful one”, again in Grottazzolina, is set for Sunday 28 April. In a few days the team that will rise to the Olympus of the Super League will be decided. Coach Massimiliano Ortenzi’s team didn’t even have time to celebrate the feat achieved in the semi-final against Ravenna before the Tuscan squad now appears in front. A match full of technical and competitive ideas, seasoned with the value that only the playoff finals can provide. Expectation skyrocketing like never before and it couldn’t be otherwise. In just a few hours, the tickets reserved in advance for season ticket holders and organized fans who exercised (en masse) their right of first refusal were literally pulverized. In the next few hours the very last remaining coupons will be put on sale on the vivaticket.com circuit and in authorized resellers (there are six in the Fermo area). To facilitate the many fans looking for tickets, the club will open the box office of the sports hall both on Saturday (in the morning from 10am to 1pm, in the afternoon from 5pm to 8pm) and on Sunday morning (from 10am to 1pm). About a hundred fans are expected from Siena. The entire territory experiences the magic of the Yuasa Battery whose exploits have had the merit of involving all age groups, even people who don’t usually follow volleyball or other sports. An unprecedented warmth for Grottazzolina which has obtained the support of the institutions. During match 3 against Ravenna the new prefect of Fermo, Edoardo D’Alascio, was in the stands alongside the mayor Alberto Antognozzi and greatly appreciated the level of organization put in place by the M&G Volleyball School. At the end of the match, D’Alascio himself greeted the players one by one, both from Yuasa and Consar, and in the festive atmosphere he awarded Marchisio, together with other mayors, as the best player of the evening.

In the Yuasa Battery house, the eve hours are lived with maximum concentration. “Against Ravenna – says spiker Claudio Cattaneo – our crowd was the extra weapon and allowed us to overcome all the difficulties. They never gave up. We put a lot of heart into it, even in the most difficult moments. I’m very excited: against Siena I will play my first final, it’s a dream come true. It will be very difficult against Emma Villas. We are here, our audience is ready. We can’t wait to get on the field.”
