Rugby – Serie A Elite: final on June 2nd at risk

The issue becomes serious: the Serie A Elite clubs, after the Fir’s act of force in moving the final to June 2nd, announce a battle and do not guarantee the match will be played. Here is the text of the statement

The Italian Rugby Federation officially announced yesterday the moving of the Serie A Elite championship final to June 2nd. He did so by ignoring the requests and needs of the clubs, which were widely explained and documented. We take note of the Fir’s decision which seems to avoid any sharing and discussion. In fact, President Innocenti already knew in the meeting on March 28th that the last act of the championship would be postponed. The Serie A Elite clubs announce that actions and protests will be evaluated during the play-offs to shine a light on the current management of the top domestic championship. To date, not all clubs can guarantee a full squad for the eventual final and it cannot be ruled out that, for these reasons, it will not be able to be played.
