Three volleyball away games for the Versilia team involved in the main volleyball championships, with Upc Volley taking place in Livorno at 6.25pm (men’s Serie B); Vp Volley traveling to Perugia at 6pm (women’s B2 series) and Oasi Viareggio on the pitch in Peccioli at 9pm (women’s C series).
Men’s Serie B
With five days to go, UPC Volley aims to consolidate fifth place. At 6.15 pm he will be on the pitch in Livorno against Tomei. «We know that the ranking says that we start with the prediction favorites – declares coach Dario Sansonetti – but the ranking can give an indication, then we are the ones who have to, with our performances, confirm or try to subvert the prediction. We are demonstrating on the field that we don’t want to give up, that we are going beyond more or less important defections (we have Facchini and Mannucci out for some time) but, in rotation, we have had to give up some of our players. A season to remember for the VP Volley freshman in command of his group who last Saturday also beat Arezzo who led the group for a long time. Peccioli will be the last trip of the Oasi Volley Viareggio on the pitch at 9pm and next Saturday they will say goodbye to the championship in Viareggio against Casciavola. «Saturday’s victory has given us morale, we want to get to Peccioli full of points and it won’t be easy – declares coach Alessandro Francesconi who has fully recovered Emma Francesconi – it’s a difficult field and they are still in the game to avoid the last place to try to save the category in the playouts. We aim to finish fifth, which once would have meant playoffs and which in this difficult championship, due to injuries and more, would give us satisfaction.”
