L’AQUILA – The national Serie B championship for La Rugby L’Aquila resumes tomorrow, Sunday 14 April, with a challenging away match on the Benevento pitch.

Regarding the opponent, there is great respect for a historic club which, despite going through a phase of generational renewal, is giving all its opponents a hard time, especially within friendly walls.
“Let’s go to Benevento – continues coach Milani – to consolidate our lead in the rankings. It won’t be easy at home but the boys are perfectly aware that there are four games left until the end of the season and the stakes are very high. I therefore asked for attention and accuracy in execution.”
The entire Neroverde Club has just returned from a weekend full of commitment and satisfaction, after the event on Saturday 6 April which saw the stands of the Fattori filled up for Italy – England Under19.
“It was truly exciting to see such a large audience for an international match of the highest level like the one played between our Azzurri and the English team; a spectacle on and off the pitch.
A Fattori perfect for hosting events of this type hasn’t been seen for a long time and for this I believe credit must be given to our entire Club, in particular to the President Mauro Scopano and its precious team of volunteers. Rekindling the passion of our City – again the coach – is not easy or automatic, but we are on the right path.”
With four days to go (the neroverdi will play three matches away from home and only the 21st of the championship at home against Us Roma, Sunday 28 April), beyond the budgets it is necessary to make a small point about the situation, in particular regarding the group of forward “we are definitely growing, there are many young people who are working well and who have shown clear improvements during the season.
Being present is essential, but so is being willing to constantly raise your level. If young people grow then it is also thanks to the slightly older ‘young men’ we have, who have made themselves available to pass on a bit of their own experience. I asked you to continue working hard to finish the championship in the way we all deserve, I can say that promotion – concludes Milani – is one step away and it’s time to press on the accelerator to achieve it on the field in the most rewarding way possible . For us, for society and for our city.”
