Federico Gatti and the collapse of Juventus in the Scudetto race after the halfway point. The Juventus defender spoke about it during an interview given to the newspaper ‘La Stampa’ on the eve of the Mole derby valid for the 32nd matchday of Serie A: “I don’t have an answer and I don’t know how much Inter’s escape had an impact, who has a great squad but didn’t miss half a match. We entered a period in which everything goes wrong, but we did our best, sinning of inexperience: ours is a growth path”, he said.

On the improvements achieved in his twenty months with Juventus: “I acquired personality and the mistakes helped me: I will always be grateful to Mister Allegri who, when I made mistakes, continued to trust me. For the rest I have wide margins, both in the defensive and attacking phases, but you grow by playing. In particular, I have to work on energy management, I often spend a lot and spend minutes freediving.”

Then in another passage he added: “What struck me most about the Juventus world is the attention to detail. And the questioning of oneself every day. Allegri always repeats a phrase from Vialli: “Winning here is often a relief rather than a joy”.
