2026 opens with a nice firework at home Roma. In the last few hours, in fact, there has been an acceleration that was probably decisive in bringing Giacomo Raspadori to Gasperini’s court.
The Giallorossi club satisfied Atletico Madrid with regards to the financial request, offering 2 million for the onerous loan and 19 for the right of redemption which becomes mandatory once the attacker has made a certain number of appearances. Practically the same amount spent by the Spaniards six months ago to snatch him from Napoli. At the end of the season Roma should redeem Raspadori, otherwise Simeone would still be happy to have the Italian back in Madrid.
In recent days, in fact, the Argentine coach had reiterated his esteem for the footballer who, however, is pushing to play more also from a national perspective.
Now the agreement between Roma and Raspadori needs to be defined, but it is the least obstacle considering that the attacker had immediately given his availability to Gasperini who already wanted him during his time at Atalanta.
So much so that the court of Galatasaray also refused, which was willing to offer 21 million for the permanent purchase. The objective now is to close all the details of the deal by the end of the week so that Raspadori can be available for the match against Lecce on January 6th.
