A few hours until the winter transfer window opens and Bologna is working to give Vincenzo Italiano a reinforcement in defence. The hottest name, among the many that have come out in recent days, remains that of Juan Pablo Freytes (25), Argentine center back born in 2000 for the Brazilians of Fluminense, who value him at around 8 million euros: contacts between the parties have actually been started and it is likely that they will intensify, but at the moment there are no official offers sent by the BFC to the Rio de Janeiro club. At the same time, should Freytes or another equal role actually approach Casteldebole, accommodation will have to be found Nicolò Casale (27), who, between physical problems and often insufficient performances, was unable to carve out the desired space.

However, regarding the offensive department, the position of is always being examined Thijs Dallinga (25), who during his adventure in the rossoblù shirt (made up of 65 appearances and 10 goals) never fully convinced. The Bologna management could also consider letting him leave as early as January and replacing him with another center forward to join the young Castro and the expert Immobile, but at the moment there is no concrete interest nor offers from other clubs.

Finally, an equally important discussion is linked to the contracts to be renewed. Said on several occasions Jhon Lucumi (27) e Riccardo Orsolini (28), both expiring in 2027 but apparently destined to follow different paths (the first away from Bologna, probably in the summer; the second still under the Two Towers, an authentic flag), the most urgent question concerns Remo Freuler (33), whose agreement will end on June 30 this year. In November the club had made a renewal proposal to the Swiss midfielder but to date, according to the information in our possession, a response has not yet been received from him and his agent. Do you want to think about it very carefully, as it is perhaps the last ‘heavy’ contract of your career, a simple role play or something is cooking? We’ll find out soon.
