The Broadway performer was killed at 25 by her partner: she leaves behind a three-year-old son and a promising career
Tragedy on Broadway: she died Imani Smithactress of the musical «The Lion King». The woman was 25 years old and found dead on Sunday 21 December at home in New Jersey.
According to local authorities, the officers intervened after a 911 call: the actress was found with stab wounds and was rushed to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
Shortly after the police arrested and charged her boyfriend, Jordan D. Jackson-Small, 35, on first-degree murder chargesendangering the welfare of a minor and unlawful possession of a weapon. According to the press release, Jackson-Small and Smith knew each other before the incident, and it was not a random act. Smith was a talented performer and a person with great charisma: her debut on Broadway in the role of the young Nala took place between 2011 and 2012, marking the beginning of a career that, despite her young age, had already left a mark. The actress leaves behind a 3-year-old son as well as his parents and two younger brothers.
