An enhanced service to allow citizens to move and travel with Rome’s public transport on New Year’s Eve. The city, today 31 December, is preparing to toast the last day of the year. And for the occasion the timetable of the subway runs will be extended, as will those of some surface lines. An extraordinary activation of the Ztl is also expected.
The metro and surface races
In detail, the last metro trips will be extended until 2:30 am. On the bus and tram front, the stop will be at 9pm (last departures from the terminals). At the same time, connections will be active: lines H Termini-via dei Capasso, 2 piazzale Flaminio-piazza Mancini, 128 Baldelli/metro B-Crocco, 170 Termini-Eur/piazzale dell’Agricoltura, 200 Prima Porta station-piazza Mancini, 280 Ostiense station-piazza Mancini, 301 Grottarossa-viale Giulio Cesare/Lepanto/metro A, 336 Quarrata-Val d’Ala Fs station, 544 Parco di Centocelle/metro C-Sant’Agnese-Annibaliano station/metro B1, 766 via Millevoi-Trastevere station, 881 Avanzini-via Paola and 905 Malagrotta-ring road Cornelia/metro A will remain on the street until 2.30 am, to facilitate the exchange with the Center area and with the metro. Worth noting: from 9pm to 2.30am, there will also be the night bus n913 Ottavia-piazza Venezia.
Transport managed by Cotral
Cotral is also preparing for New Year’s Eve. As regards Northern Rome, the service will end early at 8.05pm from both terminals. The night replacement bus service is active with departures at 9pm, 10pm, 11pm, 11am, 1am, 2am. As regards the Metromare, travel stops at 9pm from both terminals and buses leave at 10pm, 11pm, 12am, 1am, 2am.
Ztl
Finally, in Rome there will be an extraordinary activation of the central ZTL (Centro and Tridente). In fact, it will be active continuously from 6.30am on 31 December throughout the day of 1 January, continuing until 6.00pm for the Centro ZTL and until 8.00pm for the Tridente ZTL.
