She died a few minutes after being admitted to hospital Luisa Tessarollo, 72 years old, hit by a car at midnight in via Marangoni in San Zeno di Cassola. The woman she had left the house to watch the New Year’s Eve fireworks when she was hit and killed by a car driven by a young man. The victim was immediately helped by the driver who called 118. The Suem intervened and urgently transferred her to the emergency room in Bassano del Grappa, where she died shortly after. The police were also present to investigate the accident and to take the statement of thethe motorist, now under investigation for the crime of road homicide. The reasons why whoever was behind the wheel did not notice the woman in the street have yet to be clarified: it cannot be ruled out that high speed or a distraction could have had an impact. Among the hypotheses still open, there is also that of driving while intoxicated.
