News at the Pope John XXIII Asst, Roberta Marchesi is the new director of Palliative Care, Pain Therapy and Hospice. An appointment in the name of clinical and organizational continuity, which enhances the skills acquired in the company.

Roberta Marchesi’s experience

A specialist in Anesthesia and Resuscitation, Roberta Marchesi has developed advanced skills in the palliative care of adult and pediatric patients, in the management of complex symptoms in the different phases of the disease and in the treatment of acute and chronic pain. Since 2012, Marchesi has served in the same operational unit that he now directs, carrying out clinical activities in the various palliative care provision settings, both at the «Kika Mamoli and Arnaldo Minetti» Hospice in via Borgo Palazzo and at home. In the hospital setting carries out consultancy activities for specialist departments and carries out outpatient activities, contributing to the development of early and simultaneous care pathways and palliative care consultancy in a multidisciplinary context, with particular attention to continuity between hospital and territory. For two years he has been responsible for the simple early and simultaneous palliative care unit.

Between Canada and the United States

Marchesi also carried out a period of one year clinical training in Canada at McGill University, with particular focus on the management of acute and chronic pediatric pain, he obtained a two-year II level Master’s degree in acupuncture at the Sowen Study Center in Milan and attended a workshop on hypnotic induction techniques in the clinical setting alla Minnesota Society in clinical hypnosis a Minneapolis.
