There League reacts with frost at the application of the general Roberto Vannacci in the Northern League lists in all constituencies. The news had been in the air for months and was made official by Matteo Salvini on Liberation Day. THE internal discontent they were already evident and known and today even bigwigs of the party expose themselves without hiding their criticisms for a choice not shared by a large part of the people of the League. Among them there is Gian Marco Centinaiovice-president of the Senate and former minister of agricultural policies, who for weeks has been reminding us that his “enthusiasm for Vannacci’s candidacy is at minus 2000”, but also another big name in the party such as the governor of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Massimiliano Fedriga. Those who publicly support the secretary’s choice remain the iron saviors such as the deputy Andrea Crippa who also responds in kind to the sarcastic comment of Guido Crosetto attacking the allied Defense Minister.
The hypothesis of the general’s candidacy suspended from service for 11 months and under investigation for incitement to racial hatred by the Rome Prosecutor’s Office for the contents of his book, has been turning up the noses of Northern League supporters for some time now. Salvini tried to convince the party, within which – as appears a ilfattoquotidiano.it – we reason on the fact that the main objective of the Northern League is “to aim for the best possible electoral result” to be able to use “to be counted at a national level“. A reasoning that, however, does not convince everyone. “I hope” that Vannacci “can contribute to making a good result” but “I am very happy with the three candidates proposed by Friuli Venezia Giulia” and “ are possible only three preferences“, said governor Massimiliano Fedriga, speaking on the radio broadcast A day as a sheep. No vote for the general from the president of Friuli, but Fedriga is not the only one. “I said in recent days that I would have voted for whoever screwed up on the territory and I confirm”, Gian Marco Centinaio cuts short: “Fortunately, there are preferences and, consequently, you can vote for one person just as you can vote for many others. The senator takes care of “welcoming” Vannacci to the League Claudio Borghi. The deputy secretary of the party also arrives to defend the candidacy strongly supported by Matteo Salvini, taking to the field against the comment of the Minister of Defence, Guido Crosetto, who – with irony – had spoken of a victory for Vannacci, “for the League” but also “the army”. “He also has a great following in the Armed Forces and in Leonardo. The general also commented on the criticisms of the League’s representatives: “I am their problems, I’m not part of the party, I don’t have a membership card and I won’t get one at the moment.
