Descriptive text here

«Yes, it’s true, I’m shy, but it’s a dimension that I’ve never lost, deep down, and that I believe will always belong to me». He says it laughing, Linuswhile we reach him on the phone on a rainy Monday that could easily seem like November, if we didn’t have a calendar in front of us that reads April.

The April 29 the most loved and authoritative character on the Italian radio scene will make his theater debut on the historic stage Alcione Theater in Milan to present (and introduce yourself) Radio Linetti Livea one man show, produced by Key Frame and Alveare Produzioni, where curiosities, stories and personal memories come together, converging in an unprecedented story that reveals to the public the soul of one of the most iconic characters in the world of radio.

On air for almost 50 years, broadcast at Radio Deejay, «calling Italy» with Nicola Savino for over 30 years, Linus is never short of words, perhaps for this reason he would never approach shyness as a quality. «I’m the classic example of compulsive shy, but when I find myself in situations like these I would go on talking for hours».

On stage, Linus will become an exceptional storyteller who tells stories that intertwine past and present memories, accompanying them with the notes of songs that marked these moments. The inspiration for Radio Linetti Live? It was born from a simple day in the car with a friend, a dialogue that became food for thought, opening the doors to a whirlwind of memories and a sincere comparison with oneself.

«It was 1974 and soul changed my life – says Linus – Since my debut on the radio in the spring of 1976 I have never stopped. I still remember it, it was a Wednesday and the next morning I was going on a school trip. Music has always been my passion And Radio Linetti Live it allows me to combine musical narration with interpretation. At the theatre, in a context of closeness to the audience, where there is interaction and active participation: here you see and experience the public. I can’t wait to be on that stage to feel the reactions and emotions of those who come to see me.”

But let’s take a step back, to understand how a shy person like him managed to transform this characteristic – paralyzing for some – into fuel for his artistic engine.

Linus and shyness, let’s start from here: have you always been shy?
«Shyness, if we want, refers to a dimension of childhood, of adolescence… Then I could say that it is a characteristic that I have never fully lost. Maybe I could define myself as more reserved, well, I’m not exactly exuberant by nature. Or better yet, let’s put it this way: I’m more comfortable when I do something I’m sure I know how to do. For example, I know how to swim, but the water isn’t my ideal size, so I don’t go to the pool because I don’t want people to look at me and think I can’t. While when I run, I am serene and calm…”.
