Nannini, here is Letizia Toni in the biopic on the rocker

The trailer and poster for “Sei nell’anima” are available from today, the film based on the story of Gianna Nannini, produced by Indiana Production and directed by Cinzia TH Torrini, starring Letizia Toni as the icon of Italian female rock , arriving on Netflix on May 2. Thirty years told starting from childhood, from the roots of her life and her career, up to her consecration, passing through a turning point that cuts Gianna’s life cleanly into two parts, so much so that it is considered her true birth: the the year 1983.

“You are in the soul” takes the audience on a journey into the life and creative mind of a woman capable of shaping emotions with poetry and music. A unique, revolutionary artist, outside of any scheme and definition, in constant search of inspiration, of transformation, who has made music and freedom her manifesto. The cast of the film also includes Selene Caramazza, Maurizio Lombardi, and Stefano Rossi Giordani, with the participation of Andrea Delogu who plays a young Mara Maionchi.

“Sei nell’anima” is written by Cinzia TH Torrini and Cosimo Calamini together with Donatella Diamanti and Gianna Nannini herself, and is taken from “Sei Nell’Anima – Cazzi Miei”, the artist’s autobiography published in 2016, to be released in a new special edition, published by Mondadori, from 23 April.
