Marvel Studios would have changed their mind: having canceled the project to dedicate a teaser to Doctor Doom, the new promo will focus on two other MCU characters.
I fan di Avengers: Doomsday who dream of seeing Robert Downey Jr. in the role of Doctor Doom will have to wait much longer. The initial plan to dedicate one of the four teasers coupled to Avatar: Fire and Ash to the new villain against whom the Avengers will have to clash it would have faded. The reason? Keep Downey’s character a secret for as long as possible. New rumors have, therefore, revealed the real protagonists of the fourth teaser.
An unexpected duo will be the protagonist of the fourth and final promo of Avengers: Doomsdayat least for the moment: it’s about Shuri e Ben Grimmas the insider revealed @MyTimeToShineH: “The fourth Doomsday teaser will now feature Shuri and Ben Grimm. The Doom-focused teaser is no more.”
Marvel’s promotional strategy for the launch of Avengers: Doomsday
After the teaser focused on the X-Men, the fourth and final Christmas promo of Doomsday should therefore focus on Fantastic Four and Wakandadistinguishing itself from previous teasers that relied on Steve Rogers nostalgia and Thor’s renewed sense of seriousness.
Comparing Shuri to Ben Grimm seems like an intriguing and not at all obvious choice, which suggests a broader narrative turning point. It is also rumored that this teaser will be very different from the previous threereinforcing the idea that Marvel is setting distinct tones for every aspect of this massive crossover.
Avengers: Doomsday, the rumors about teasers 3 and 4 denied by a surprising new rumor
The interpreter of Shuri, Letitia Wright, recently spoke about the background of her commitment to the Marvel world with Geekytyrant.com saying: “I don’t know anything about Black Panther 3 right now. All I know is that we just finished filming Secret Wars, and it was great. Sorry, I meant Doomsday. I’m confusing them. The next movie I’ll make is Secret Wars. But Doomsday is finished, and that’s great.”
Letitia Wright also talked about how much this role still means to her, defining it “It’s an honor to wear the mantle of Black Panther. I’m excited for the Shuri’s growth that you will see in the next films”.
