The Crow, Bill Skarsgard makes his intentions clear in new photos

The Crow is certainly not the most anticipated film of the season and if even the screenwriter mocks the revisitation of The Crow everyone would seem resigned to an announced flop. However, Bill Skarsgard doesn’t throw himself down as we see in the new promotional photos.

The actor will play Eric Draven, and Lionsgate recently released new images that offer a deeper look at Eric’s mission. These images, loaded with symbolism, hint at the fact that Eric “he won’t stop until the wrong things are made right“. Each image of the character (which you can find at the bottom of the article) is accompanied by a significant word: “Revenge”, “Rebirth” and “Repeat”, indicating that Eric rises from the dead with the sole purpose of taking revenge on those who murdered him and killed the love of his life.

However, criticisms of Bill Skarsgard’s Eric Draven aside, it is important to point out that the new film is not a remake of the 1994 classic, but a re-imagining of the original graphic novel by James O’Barr. This clarification could have exempted Rupert Sanders’ new film from criticism, but Brandon Lee’s The Legend of the Crow is an untouchable film for the public, as is its protagonist.

The Crow, after various postponements, will arrive in Italian cinemas on August 28th.
