How much did Godzilla and Kong gross? Now that Warner Bros and Legendary have begun to look to the future of the saga by revealing the identity of the new director of Godzilla and Kong 3, let’s take a look at the final numbers achieved at the box office by Adam Wingard’s film.
Although it is already available for VOD platforms – and, we remind you, Godzilla and Kong will also be released on Blu-ray very soon – over the weekend just ended, the film still recorded good returns at the box office, with the new figures collected which brought it to overcome total gross of $570 million at the global box office.
Consequentially, Godzilla and Kong has finally surpassed the record of Kong: Skull Island, thus becoming the most successful film ever for the MonsterVerse franchise (and, let’s remember, it consequently also becomes the most profitable one, having had the lowest budget ever with ‘just’ 135 million dollars). Below is the ranking of the MonsterVerse based on box office collection levels:
