It was logical to assume that the story of a character like Mufasa it would have been told to us with the epic and imposing scope that Simba’s father deserves: to know if our expectations will be satisfied we will have to be patient a little longer, but in the meantime we can get an idea of what we will see thanks to the first trailer.
In fact, a few minutes ago we were shown the first images of the film in which some beloved characters from The Lion King will return: the teaser, lasting just over a minute, takes us back in timewhen the savannah was not yet the one over which the adult Mufasa of the immortal Disney Classic reigns.
Accompanied by the voice of the ever-present Rafiki, we discover the first steps of a little Mufasa born “without a drop of noble blood in his veins“: the tones, in short, seem like those of a Bildungsroman whose story will lead, in one way or another, our lion cub to become that king with the mighty roar that we have all learned to love.
Furthermore, a small surprise arrives at the end of the trailer, when it is announced not only the return of Beyonce (already the voice of Nala in the first film), but also the debut of her daughter Blue Ivy Carter in a still secret role. We remind you, meanwhile, that Mufasa: The Lion King will arrive in theaters on December 20th.
