Among the newly produced Italian drama films present in the library of Netflix there is “The turning point” a 2021 film full of adrenaline and much appreciated by the public. Both with their credibility and a high level of harmony manage to create the pillar of a film that can be enjoyed to a large extent. Further credit goes to the screenplay Roberto Cimpanelli And Gabriele Scarfonedifferent from the more usual ones linked to genre and story, which provides high expectations.
In short, a film that involves and also produces a profound reflection on the destiny of a disoriented generation that is no longer that of the years in which certainties were few but very solid. Time changes and youth loses references, so much so that they easily lose their way too.
The settings lead the viewer into an almost comic book world, where good and evil meet and clash. “The turning point” on Netflix clearly differs from the criminal Rome already shown on the big screen. There is certainly no shortage of clichés, linked to the usual figures of the boss, the convict with a heart of gold, the tough guy from the suburbs, but all in a style revisited in a more original way.

One ordinary day he breaks into the apartment of Ludovico, an economics student with the dream of becoming a cartoonist. Jack asks to be hidden in the house, gun in hand, because the boss’s men are waiting for him outside and are looking for him and the loot. The boy accepts despite himself.
However, despite the abyss that divides them, a very solid friendship and great empathy relationship will gradually be established between the two. But events will not spare twists and dramatic events.
