Smooth street parade in Piazzale Kennedy in Rimini
It took place last night in Piazzale Kennedy in Rimini “Liscio street parade”, first edition of the smooth street parade with DJs, orchestras, dance schools and pop artists to celebrate the birthday of the song “Romagna mia” and beyond.
The party started from the aperitif time with the smooth remixed by the deejays, the rapper Word, continuing with the dance schools and 70 couples of dancers coordinated by Mirco and Sandra Ermeti on the notes of Santa Balera, the orchestra of the generation Z of smooth music, which this year also performed in Sanremo and then of course Moreno il Biondo and the Grande Evento orchestra in a mix of tradition and innovation.
The initiative, born from an idea by Giordano Sangiorgi of the Mei-Meeting of Independent Labels in collaboration with the Municipality of Rimini – is among those designed not only to pay due homage to the iconic song by Secondo Casadei, but also to enhance popular tradition and community. “There are all the conditions for a second edition – declared Sangiorgi, patron of the Mei – between DJs, rappers, songwriters and rock groups and a large gathering of dance schools from all over Romagna”.
While we await recognition by UNESCO as a world heritage site, the candidacy proposed by the Emilia Romagna region took its first steps last year, ballroom dancing continues to make people dance and smile and evolve with the new generations.
