No changes. Also confirmed for Sunday 21 May is the train and bus circulation plan implemented by Trenord starting from Friday 19, to allow travel between Milan and the territories of Upper Lake Como and Valtellina, following the fall of a landslide in Fiumelatte. The circulation of trains between Lierna and Bellano remains suspended until further notice, as decided during the summit coordinated by the Prefecture and which took place shortly after yet another disaster.

The trains of the Milan-Lecco-Sondrio-Tirano line circulate on the Milan-Lierna and Bellano-Sondrio/Tirano sections, making all the stops scheduled for the journeys of the Lecco-Sondrio line, which is cancelled. Substitute bus routes are suggested to passengers. Further measures and updates for the following days will be communicated on Trenord.it and via the app.

From Milano Centrale in the direction of Sondrio/Tirano

To the south, trains run between Milano Centrale and Lierna, making all stops between Lecco and Lierna. From Milan, customers heading towards the Upper Lake and Valtellina must get off at Lecco, where two replacement bus connections are activated: Lecco-Colico for those who then need to go to Valtellina and Lecco-Bellano-Varenna for those who need to reach the Upper Lake Lake.

From Tirano/Sondrio in the direction of Milano Centrale

To the north, trains run between Sondrio/Tirano and Bellano, making all stops between Sondrio and Bellano. Customers going to Lecco or Milan must get off at Colico, where they can continue their journey by bus to Lecco. From Lecco passengers can reach their destination by train, heading north to Lierna or south to Milano Centrale or Milano Porta Garibaldi. For travel between Milan and Lecco, travelers are advised to use the S8 Milano Porta Garibaldi-Carnate-Lecco line.

“Trenord, together with local institutions, is trying to find as many buses as possible. Considering the current emergency, long waits are to be expected in Colico towards Milan and in Lecco towards Valtellina. Customers are invited to travel only if absolutely necessary. For assistance to passengers, Trenord has set up extraordinary staffing at the stations”, explains the public company.
