Ersa will present an application on the paying agency to the ministry

Udine, 19 March – The Regional Council has approved, on the proposal of the councilor for agri-food, forestry, fish and mountain resources of Friuli Venezia Giulia, the assignment to Ersa (Regional Agency for rural development) of the task of presenting to the Ministry of Agriculture, of food and forest sovereignty (Masaf) the application for recognition of Opr Fvg as paying agency of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region for the management, within the regional territory, of direct payments from the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (excluding sectoral aid), and the Rural Development scheme from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.

The resolution also gives direction to the competent Central Directorates in the field of public function, assets, information systems and health, so that they continue to operate to definitively acquire the logistical, instrumental and human resources in the time necessary to obtain the recognition of the Opr Fvg.

The regional councilor in fact recalled that the objective is to make the regional paying body operational for Community aid for the agricultural and forestry sectors, established with the latest budget, starting from 16 October 2023, the start date of the next financial year of the management of European funds.

Once the recognition has been obtained from the competent authority, the body will become operational and will take over the national management currently performed by the Agency for disbursements in agriculture – Agea.ARC/LP/al
