VILLADOSE (Rovigo) – ‘Piancaneve and the 7 loaves‘ is the title of the story created by the parents’ association Active Landswhich is part of a project with the aim of extending food culture from childhood; in fact, in almost every fairy tale there is talk of food and from this we thought of proposing a story “to eat”.

The event took place on Wednesday 26 June at 4:30 pm at the “La Barchessa” bakery in Villadose.

With the contribution of Michela Callegaro and his right arm Martin Osti, together with Active Lands, the children were first able to listen and participate in the story and, subsequently, experiment through a laboratory where they kneaded and produced bread.

There were three key words: I tell you, I listen to you and I mix you and it was just like that, a show with protagonists Ilaria Rigoni and Cosetta Delfina Pellegrini, who managed to overturn the traditional story of Snow White and the 7 dwarfs by bringing it closer to bread, thus becoming the protagonist par excellence. The 7 dwarfs known as Brontolo, Mammolo, Pisolo, Gongolo, Eolo, Dotto and Cucciolo for the occasion were transformed into breads taking the name of Pan Biscotto Veneto, Ciopa Vicentina, Ciabatta Polesana, Montasù, Bussolai, Piava and Spaccatina, naturally all typical Venetian. The children were able to see how the dough is made and they were also able to taste it.

Of course, like all stories, the ending is always the same “and they lived happily ever after…” because children want this, so dear Snow White, a loaf of bread, married the charming Prince who in that context became a vegetable with a green tuft.

Making this moment even more significant was the presence of the Councilor Marzia Dall’Ara who expressed his appreciation, followed by greetings from the President of Attive Terre Alessandro Andreello to conclude the event.

It is not the first time that the association has participated in initiatives to promote healthy eating, as stated by Vice President Delfina Little Pellegrini: in fact, in the past another story has enthralled children, “the vegetable garden festival” presented for the Nutrilandia project and subsequently this activity was proposed in local schools, gaining wide appreciation.
