One of the decisive points for the new mayor of Perugia Vittoria Ferdinandi will be the one concerning the functioning of the complex municipal machine which, like the council, will have to aspire to live up to the expectations raised during the election campaign. The mayor tried to put in place a first piece on Tuesday morning in the Sala Rossa, where she received the managers of Palazzo dei Priori for an initial meeting.

The meeting Ferdinandi explained to the top management that the doors of his office will always be open, asking and then offering collaboration and team spirit. After this first meeting, each one will prepare a series of reports regarding the most urgent dossiers; then it will be up to the general secretary, Francesca Vichi, to summarize before a series of individual meetings to go into detail.

The latter is dependent on the Ministry of the Interior and is appointed by the mayor, dealing essentially with legal-administrative assistance to the bodies of the institution; the latter instead deals, on the basis of the political directions and objectives provided, with the organization and management of the Municipality.
De Paolis Ferdinandi, if he wants, can nominate a new secretary between the 61st and 119th day of his inauguration. As for the second, however, there are also those who think about the possible return of Dante De Paolis, who in the past for various administrations has dealt with Financial Services and some of the most problematic dossiers, from Umbria Mobilità to Gesenu (in this case also covering the role of CEO) and not only. For about three years, De Paolis has been the administrative director of the Umbria-Marche Zooprophylactic Institute «Togo Rosati».
The council In the meantime, meetings are continuing with the parties and civic lists that supported Ferdinandi. The Pd delegation, with which the round was closed on Monday evening, put on the table the request for three assessors, or two members of the council plus the presidency of the city council. On Tuesday it was the turn of the elected representatives of Pensa Perugia and the civics, namely Anima Perugia, Orchestra per la Vittoria and Perugia per la sanità pubblica. While for the Dems the names on the table remain those of Francesco Zuccherini, Costanza Spera and Elena Ranfa, for Anima Perugia there is David Grohmann, with some stomach aches for the elected representatives of the Demos area. As for Pensa Perugia, the request is for a role appropriate to the result achieved: in recent days there was talk of the possibility of Giacomo Leonelli as deputy mayor but we will see. Also on the table is the young Lorenzo Mazzanti: much will depend on the delegations that the mayor will reserve for Pensa Perugia, and on the basis of those the names will be chosen.
