After the success of the theatre tour, with over 40 sold out dates, This summer, by popular demand, ELIO E LE STORIE TESE are bringing the show “I have only one tooth left and I’m trying to screw it back in“.
But before revealing the dates, an important announcement:
Dear friends
we announce incredible news: in the summer revival of the show “Mi Resta Un Solo Dente E Cerco Di ‘Screw it back on’“, the drummer will not be Christian Meyer!! Asked about the reasons for his defection, Meyer said: “Elio e Le Storie Tese are the most important experience of my life, I have fond and affectionate memories of the group, I would give my life for every single member of the band, but I am unable to participate in this new exciting adventure. My well-known passion for pine nuts has led me to an excessive consumption of non-Italian pine nuts, now very common in our country, a consumption that can cause unpredictable and unwanted effects, as happened to me. These effects will prevent me from participating in the summer show of Elio e Le Storie Tese but I will be ready to get back in the saddle after following a balanced diet based on honey, cocoa beans and prickly pears”.
We of Elio e le Storie Tese will observe a period of radio silence, which characterizes our career a bit since the radios almost never play our songs, at the end of which we will tell you the even more incredible news that we cannot tell you now precisely because of the radio silence: who will play in place of Christian Meyer!!

“I have only one tooth left and I’m trying to screw it back in” is a picaresque musical journey into the old repertoire… (and also not…!) of Elio e le Storie Tese. A crazy and reasoned x-ray of our Land of Persimmons 2023 where jargon, irony, surreal incursions and absurdist philosophy draw a beautiful grotesque and contemporary Italian country, populated by trendy and adrenaline-filled fops or unlikely mussel trainers, by less honorable honorable people or by organic/transgenic farmers, by bizarre animals from a fantastic bestiary or by hippies now bagged and out of time. Songs, monologues, musical jokes, virtuoso and wretched instrumental performances, as is in the mythical and identifying style of the group. Great musical ability and compositional talent at the service of a deflagrating and always surprising story, where method and madness, genius and debauchery continually cross paths and inspirations. A theatrical concert without a moment’s respite, where the irreverent and playful gaze of Elio e le Storie Tese generates comedy and paradox. An ironic and self-deprecating mockery, where Laughter or Comedy are never digestive, but rather subversion of common sense, instruments of divergent thinking, playful and reasoned aggression to boredom.
