The formations will alternate on the morning of July 6th from 11:00 Cie Irene K (BE) in The look I keep to myself e Atacama Company in Lost Solos with a preview of their latest production, on the streets of Velletri, in Corso della Repubblica corner of via Ettore Novelli.

The afternoon will resume at 6.30 pm inside the House of Cultures and Music, when the interdisciplinary nature that has characterized the festival since its beginnings will be happily represented by the meeting of dance with other arts (poetry, literature and visual arts) in the latest installation of the Atacama Company which debuts with Lost Solosthe latest work co-produced by Paesaggi del Corpo. The choreographers and directors Patricia Cabbage e Ivan Truolwelcomed since 1997 on the most prestigious international stages, are inspired by the anomalous migratory route of some solitary birds far from their flock of belonging, to meditate on the solitude and diversity that unites the destiny of many human beings.

The Belgian team follows Cie Irene K con The look I keep to myselfdirected by Irene Kalbusch: independent group founded in the late 70s specialized in creating performaces for urban environments. This work site-specific wants to enter the public space, to show it in its particularities. In each new performance the dancers, accompanied by the voice and percussions of Shana Mpunga, they adapt to the qualities of the place, exploiting its elements to shape new and ephemeral images of dance.

The evening and the festival will end with Stories of the last days Of Livia Bartoluccia young dancer who, after numerous previous performances, has begun to successfully dedicate herself to directing. The work, produced byAtacama Onlus Cultural Associationemerges from the intertwining of two autobiographical experiences: the vision of the homonymous pictorial cycle on the Last Judgement by Luca Signorelli in the Cathedral of Orvieto and the journey made on a sailing ship for an environmental protection project from the Strait of Gibraltar to the coast of Gambia. Episodes that have acquired a great symbolic value in the author’s consciousness, both evoking an atmosphere of extreme suspension that however allowed her to foresee the moment before a revelation. Precisely such moments of epiphany, in which any small movement becomes full of power, illuminate this exhibition.

Landscapes of the Body – International Contemporary Dance Festival is produced by the cultural association The ETS Art Box with the contribution of MIC Ministry of Culture, Municipality of Albano, in collaboration with FONDARC Foundation for the Participation of Art and Culture in the City of Velletri, in collaboration and with the patronage of Municipality of Velletri he was born in Municipality of Rocca di Papa.
