An ongoing dialogue between the Cna of Modica and the mayor Maria Monisteri to help the city’s businesses grow. This is the goal we want to strive for. “We have shared with the mayor Maria Monisteri and with the councilor for economic development Tino Antoci – explain the municipal Cna – some lines of intervention to be able to save companies and find new investment spaces. The industrial area of Modica has always been at the center of our association’s attention. We have shared, in fact, the need to immediately strengthen the municipal offices to publish a new call for tenders aimed at assigning free lots and at the same time prepare the process to expand the area of contrada Michelica providing development opportunities to local businesses. We have considered it essential to continue to inform all the city’s businesses about the possibility of continuing to obtain the TARI tax exemption for those companies that dispose of waste correctly by providing them with assistance and precisely guaranteeing a real facilitation. Finally, regarding the occupation of public land that is of great concern to businesses, we could work together to modify the municipal regulation with the aim of regulating the spaces used while saving the businesses themselves”.
Mayor Monisteri, for his part, clarifies: “Together with my council, and in this case in particular with the councilor for Economic Development Tino Antoci, we constantly consult with the territorial secretary of the Cna, Carmelo Caccamo, and with the entrepreneurial management group, to provide answers to Modica companies by sharing opportunities and implementing growth strategies capable of always safeguarding the interests of the community”.
