Lorenzo Roggi has been appointed to the board of directors of Federcasa, the national trade association with eighty-four entities and companies that manage public residential housing. The Arezzo native will bring to the service of the organization a long experience gained within Arezzo Casa, of which he has held the position of president since 2019 after having been vice president from 2016 to 2019 and will now also be called upon to contribute to the definition of the objectives of housing policy and the development of new intervention tools in the field of public housing, aiming to promote the quality of living and social life.
Roggi’s appointment took place during the national assembly of Federcasa where the unanimous vote of those present first elected Marco Buttieri of the Territorial Agency for Housing of Piedmont as the new president and then the board of directors for the three-year period 2024-2027. The entities present in this association currently manage approximately 754,000 homes throughout the peninsula (about 83% of the total public residential assets) and have over 6,500 employees and managers who operate throughout the national territory, therefore it is the most authoritative entity to represent the needs, requirements and prospects of this varied system with the various local, regional, national and international organizations. In addition to his two-term presidency of Arezzo Casa, Roggi has gained further knowledge and skills as regional vice-coordinator for housing policies within Confservizi Cispel Toscana, the association of public service companies operating in the region with responsibilities in the areas of water systems, environmental hygiene, gas and public transport by road, but also municipal pharmacies, public buildings, parking, smart cities, culture, personal care institutions and cemetery services.
This prestigious appointment within Federcasa falls in a particularly significant year for Arezzo Casa itself, which in 2024 reached the milestone of twenty years of activity and will celebrate the anniversary with the festival “AC20 – The future of living” which, from Saturday 21 September to Sunday 29 September, will offer ten days of events in cities and valleys aimed at promoting opportunities for citizens, associations, institutions and professionals to meet.
