Career. Born in Bergamo in 1994, in 2004 he joined the Atalanta youth team and after going through the Youth Sector he made his Serie A debut on May 18, 2014, at the age of 20. In the summer of the same year he moved to Trapani for his first season among the big boys and collected 20 appearances with 2 goals, the following year he confirmed his place in Serie B with the Cesena jersey (27 appearances and 3 goals). Back in Bergamo, in two seasons he collected 55 appearances and 10 goals, between Serie A, Europa League and Coppa Italia. In the meantime, in January 2017 Juventus bought him and the following summer he moved to Milan on a permanent deal: with the Rossoneri he made his debut in the Europa League but was then stopped by a series of physical problems that kept him away from the pitch for over a year. In January 2020 he starts again from Atalanta: he immediately finds the starting shirt again, finishing with 16 appearances in the second half of the season alone, while the following year he is tormented by injuries again. He finds continuity in Serie A between 2021 and 2003, in the two years on loan to Venezia and Spezia (55 appearances). Last season an ankle problem kept him out for a long time, but on the last day of the championship he made his debut in Serie A with the Milan jersey.

President Charles Rivetti and all of Modena FC welcome Mattia Caldara to the yellow and blue family.
