Caltanissetta – The Court’s preventive measures section has issued two special surveillance enforcement decrees following proposals submitted by the Police Chief; one of them jointly with the Public Prosecutor.

The Police Chief of Caltanissetta Pinuccia Albertina Agnello, following an investigation by the local Anti-Crime Police Division, issued eight enforcement orders for preventive measures against people who have been responsible for serious antisocial behavior. Four orders in the form of an oral warning: one of which was issued against a 25-year-old, arrested by the Gela Police Station on June 3, for possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing; a 33-year-old woman, also arrested on May 30 for possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing; a 33-year-old reported by the Gela Police Station for receiving stolen goods, as he was caught with a rifle with an erased serial number, and against a 38-year-old reported by the Gela Police Station for carrying a prohibited knife. Four warnings for domestic violence were issued against a 46-year-old, who committed personal injuries against his ex-partner; a 56-year-old, for the continuous physical and verbal aggression committed against his wife; a 32-year-old, for the continuous stalking committed against his ex-girlfriend and a 41-year-old, for causing personal injuries against his ex-partner. With the preventive measures issued by the Police Chief, the aforementioned were all invited to change their conduct.

The preventive measures section of the Court of Caltanissetta, in acceptance of the proposal put forward by the Police Commissioner, has applied special public safety surveillance, for a period of one year, to a 25-year-old who committed mistreatment against his cohabiting parents.

The Court, accepting the proposal put forward by the Public Prosecutor and the Police Chief, applied special public safety surveillance with the obligation to reside in the municipality of residence, for a period of three years, to a 46-year-old, suspected of belonging to the mafia association called “Cosa nostra”, a family from Caltanissetta, arrested by the Flying Squad as part of the judicial police operation called “Bella vita”.

Both will have to comply with a series of requirements imposed on them by the Judicial Authority.
