AREZZO

It’s the day of the Summer Aperitif in the Fortress. After the postponement due to bad weather, today at 6 pm the gates of the Fortress will open on the fifth stage of the twelfth edition of Toscana Arcobaleno d’Estate, a festival that celebrates the beginning of the beautiful season with a tour of events that has involved the entire region and has chosen Arezzo for the final evening. The city will offer a riot of gastronomic offerings presented by the best restaurateurs, pastry chefs and bartenders from Arezzo. The ribbon cutting, scheduled for 7:30 pm on the lawn of the Fortress, will officially inaugurate the great summer event promoted by La Nazione together with the Tuscany Region, organized by Confcommercio with the patronage of the Municipality, the Chamber of Commerce, and the technical collaboration of the Guido d’Arezzo Foundation. In the Fortezza you can taste traditional dishes such as warm focaccia with mortadella or raw ham, casarecce with octopus ragù, Fassona tartare and roast beef, then pulled wild pork, to exotic options such as vegetarian currymadras and salmon temaki, the now classic “pulled pork burger”, up to gluten-free specialties for celiacs. A menu designed to enhance the flavors of Tuscan tradition, and not only, in a setting of conviviality and beauty. The delicacies that you can taste while walking among the stands will thus make up a “rainbow menu” of tradition. The costs: from 2.50 euros for some types of desserts such as gattò or torta della nonna, to 7 euros for first courses and second courses. Cocktails, wines and bubbles from the area, and artisanal agricultural beer will complete the offer, creating a perfect combination for an evening under the stars. A truly varied menu that allows you to taste the main dishes of Arezzo’s cuisine under the stars. For the occasion, the Fortress will open its premises for guided tours led by Confcommercio tourist guides. The tours, bookable in three time slots (19, 20 and 21), will end at 23. To participate, contact Confguide Arezzo (Rita 3315025517). All participants will receive a free coupon to visit the Ivan Bruschi House Museum, a jewel located between Pieve and Corso Italia. Live music will also enliven the evening, with a band of over 10 elements on stage, including the voice of Deb Jones, Alberto Mannatrizio on sax, four dancers, two DJs, a percussionist and a guitarist. A performance not to be missed, enriched by a splendid choreography.
