ALESSANDRIA – International visit for the Gardelian works of the Alessandria University Hospital. At the center of the lesson of the international Master Architectural and Urban Contemporary Heritage-Arurcohe, Erasmus Mundus Joint Master.
The course has among its objectives precisely the safeguardconservation and reuse of the urban and built heritage of the 20th century in Europe. The protagonists are the School of Architecture of the University of the Basque Country (Spain), the Department of Architecture and Design of the University of Turin and the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture of the Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania).
Gardelli’s works are a ‘unicum’
The young graduates in Architecture from different countries were therefore able to observe and analyse the Gardelian rationalist style of the church of Ignatius Gardella. Located in the park of the Borsalino Rehabilitation Hospital and the Gardella Polyclinic, former anti-tuberculosis dispensary, on via Don Gasparolo.
