For the key day of the Notte Rosa in Rimini, the stage of the summer station of RDS 100% GRANDI SUCCESSI will host the live performance of Eiffel 65. This Italian musical group, born in the early ’90s, was originally formed by Maurizio “Maury” Lobina, Gianfranco “Jeffrey” Randone, and DJ Gabry Ponte. With hits like “Blue (Da Ba Dee)”, Eiffel 65 became an icon of Italian and international dance music, selling over 15 million records worldwide in their first five years.
They have received important awards such as the World Music Award in Monte Carlo in 2000 and a nomination at the American Grammy Awards in the category “Best Dance Artist”. Eiffel 65 are the Italian band that has sold the most copies in the United States, obtaining triple platinum for the album “Europop” and numerous other certifications throughout Europe.
After a hiatus during which Gabry Ponte pursued a solo career, Maury and Jeffrey returned in 2010, taking their concerts all over the world, with over 600 lives in clubs, arenas, stadiums and festivals. In August 2022, David Guetta contacted them to collaborate with Bebe Rexha on “I’m Good (Blue)”, which includes the melody from “Blue”. In November 2023, they were nominated for the Top 5 of the SIAE Music Awards and in February 2024, after more than 20 years, they returned to Sanremo as guests, performing a medley of their hits. In May 2024 the new single “Bestiale” was released in collaboration with Loredana Bertè.
The evening will be hosted by DJ Claudio Guerrini and will continue with the Discoradio Party, featuring Matteo Epis, Edo Munari, Don Cash and Valentina Guidi, with all the most rhythmic hits from the 90s to today.
