The women’s sector of Atletico Lucca will be called Atletico Lucca Women and will make its debut in the 2024/2025 season with all the categories provided by the Italian Football Federation. Under the leadership of president Stefano Bartoli, the club will have around ninety registered players to form the various teams, including the First Team, the Under 19, Under 17, Under 15 youth teams, and the younger Under 12 and Primi Calci teams.
The good results obtained in the season just ended attracted many girls, even from neighboring provinces. This indicates significant growth in the women’s football movement in the region. The Henderson structure will be the training and match venue for all the Atletico Lucca Women teams.
The aim of the project is to guarantee continuity and growth for the players, creating a “single hub” for all girls interested in football. The initiative received the support of the Federation, the Ministry of Equal Opportunities and the municipal administration, which appreciates the development of women’s football in Lucca. The season just ended was particularly positive, culminating with the victory of the Tuscan Cup by the Under 17 team.
The names of the coaches and instructors who will give life to this new adventure which has all the right conditions to become an important operation for the territory will soon be announced. Furthermore, subsequently, other very important initiatives regarding the newly formed Atletico Lucca Women will be communicated.
